Job Description:
Clinical medical assistants help doctors and nurses prepare examination rooms, take and monitor patient vital signs, question patients about medical histories, prepare patients for X-rays and assist with electrocardiograms (EKG). CCMAs are allowed to perform additional duties such as drawing blood, administering injections and medications, administering IVs, disposing of biohazards, dressing wounds and removing stitches while under the direct supervision of a physician or registered nurse
