Job Description:
Apprentice assists with mechanical diagnoses and repairs on County fleet to include automobiles, transit buses and vehicles, ambulances and fire apparatus, heavy trucks, and equipment (e.g. Gradalls, rollers, graders, backhoes, mowers, skid loaders, etc.) and special accessories (snow plows, salt spreaders, V-boxes, etc.); DOT inspections on dump trucks and other vehicles; as well as scheduled maintenance and general repair of other vehicles and equipment in the County fleet.

Must be a high school junior or senior at Frederick County Public Schools

As part of the Youth Apprenticeship Program, you will earn weighted high school credits, receive an hourly wage, and gain marketable industry skills

Must be physically able to do the work of the trade
